East Tennessee organizations to host free legal clinic for veterans

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The Knoxville Bar Association and other East Tennessee organizations are helping veterans with free legal advice.

Veterans will be able to receive advice on issues concerning landlord/tenant, veteran benefits, bankruptcy, criminal defense, consumer protection, contract disputes, estate planning, child support, personal injury and more.

Along with the bar association, the Young Lawyers Division of the Knoxville Barristers, Legal Aid of East Tennessee, Knox County Public Defender’s Community Law Office, the University of Tennessee College of Law and the city’s Veteran’s Affairs Office are helping with the event.

The clinic will host two sessions: September 7 and November 2.The sessions will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the Knox County Public Defender’s Community Law Office at 1101 Liberty Street.
