Nashville Public Television will host two town hall events next week.
The first, Transportation: NPT Reports Town Hall, will focus on Nashville transit, how to get into, out of and around Nashville. NPT producerLaTonya Turner will facilitate a public discussion on recent published transportation plans and the future. This event will be taped for later airing.
The second event, Bridging the Civilian/Military Divide, a national Veterans Coming Home event, will focus on veteran isolation and how to prevent it as well as how to recognize the families of veterans. A panel will include Marjorie K. Eastman, president and CEO of YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee; Evan Owens, co-founder of REBOOT Combat Recovery; and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Zachary Bell along with members of the Kindling Group media nonprofit, a news release said. The event will be streamed live on the Internet.
