“What you don’t know won’t hurt you”

Standard

We have all heard the phrase “What you don’t know won’t hurt you”. This is totally the opposite for the millions of Veterans who have been injured or became ill because of their service to our Country. Too many soldiers are discharged from military service due to injuries sustained during their active duty service and are not informed of their available benefits. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon to hear a Veterans say, “Nobody told me” or “I didn’t know” when it comes to Veteran Benefits. A person who joins the military should be told not only what’s expected of them; but also what’s available to them in case of illness or injury. “What a Veteran doesn’t know can hurt them”. So please take the time to tell a Veteran what sources are available to them. My hopes are that in the future no Disabled Veteran will ever have to utter the words “Nobody told me” or “I didn’t know”.
